http://www.landmarklafayette.com/Landmark_Lafayette/Ministryxlr8.html

Hey guys,

I wanted to take a minute here and say thanks for allowing me to be a part of your youth retreat. Alena and I had an awesome time with you guys. You’re a great crew to hang out with and our time with you was a blast. Thanks.

Piece of the Puzzle

Puzzles are fun, aren’t they? My son Josh can just sit for 20-30 minutes (a major accomplishment for him) just sitting there playing with a puzzle.

Fact is you and I are just like those puzzle pieces. We are all shaped and made differently. I don’t mean just
physically, but with our talents, gifts, and spirit man.

You do fit in this puzzle that we call ministry. Each of you are made in God’s own image and made
specifically for God’s goal for your life. Not only do you have a place, but you fit perfectly in your place.

Much like all puzzles it just takes time to find where that place is. Don’t get frustrated with the journey. Enjoy and embrace your walk with God. You will be put in your place to perfectly fit right where you
belong in due time.

Small Steps of Life by David Daigle

Just a little something to get you thinking…

One night, at 11:3 0 p.m., an older African Americanwoman was standing on the side of an Alabama highwaytrying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car hadbroken down and she desperately needed a ride.Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car.A young white man stopped to help her, generallyunheard of in those conflict-filled 60s.. The mantook her to safety, helped her get assistance andput her into a taxicab.
She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down hisaddress and thanked him. Seven days went by and aknock came on the man's door. To his surprise, agiant TV was delivered to his home. A
special note was attached..
It read:'Thank you so much for assisting me on the highwaythe other night. The rain drenched not only myclothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along.Because of you, I was able to make it to my dyinghusband's bedside just before he passed away.. Godbless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others.'Sincerely, Mrs. Nat King Cole.
Remember, most of your life is spent waiting on the big things in life. What we sometimes fail to realize is that life is actually in the small things. The smile you share, the hug you give, the
encouraging word that you drop into someone else’s life. Just like in the story above, what you think is a small thing might actually turn out to be huge!
